As soon as the whistle sounded in Sunday’s match against Valladolid and Barça collected their second consecutive La Liga title talk began as to who would be coming and going during the off-season.

Well after much speculation Barcelona ended the question as to whether or not Bojan Krkic would be leaving club to make room for any of the rumored signings. President Joan Laporta assured the fans that young Bojan would for next season and his stance seems to be echoed by Pep Guardiola as well as many of the candidates running to fill the vacancy of Laporta in June.

After a slow start in the first half of the season Bojan came on strong in April and May playing in 12 matches, starting six of those, and scoring six goals.

Another player who has been given a public assurance of staying with the club is Dmytro Chygrynskiy. Despite his lack of success with the club this season and falling out of favor with fans, Pep Guardiola has voiced his support of defender. Guardiola understands that Chygrynskiy has had to overcome not having been with the club in the preseason and having to learn a completely new system in a short amount of time. Guardiola is confident that Chygrynskiy will rise to the challenge next season and give the fans something to cheer about.

The news is not so bright for Yaya Toure who has been rumored to be moving to Arsenal this summer. It is a tough reality for Barcelona fans to accept following many strong performances by Toure, including yesterdays win over Valladolid. Toure had fallen out of favor with Guardiola early on in the season over his comments regarding his lack of playing time, and recent comments by Laporta hint that the Ivorian is on his way out.

Lastly there is Zlatan Ibrahimovic who after getting off to a fast start with the club has struggled to find his form and has shown glimpses of the “attitude problems” that he has been tagged with throughout his career. With the massive contract he signed at the beginning of the season Barça fans have been very critical of the strikers performances. As the season came to a close Guardiola often opted to start young Bojan Krkic in place of Ibrahimovic leading many to believe that the coach had lost faith in Swede.

Adding more speculation to the future of Ibrahimovic, Sport is reporting that in fact Pep Guardiola has told Ibra that he is free to leave if he chooses. If he decides to stay Pep would welcome him “open arms” but he will not tolerate any conflict in the locker room.

We will have to wait and see what happens with David Villa before we know what Ibrahimovic’s intentions will be.
