On Thursday in Monaco the Champions League group draw took place and FC Barcelona looked to have received a very favorable group as they work towards the final in London.

FC Barcelona will begin their Champions League run on September 14 when they will host Panathinaikos at home. Next they will travel to Russia to take on a familiar foe in Rubin Kazan on September 29. Rubin gave Barcelona difficulty last season taking points from the blaugrana at the Camp Nou. On October 20 Barcelona will be back home to take the last team in their group in FC Copenhagen.

The return legs will be played on November 2 against FC Copenhagen, November 24 against Panatjinaikos and December 7 against Rubin Kazan.
