David Villa will be unavailable this weekend for their home match against Mallorca following the ruling by the Spanish Competition Committe. The Competition Committee decided that a one match ban was sufficent discipline for slapping Atheltic Bilbao’s Gurpegui following the two being tangled up with each other.

The ruling does not affect the players ability to participate in tomorrows Champions League clash against Rubin Kazan. Villa will return to La Liga action on October 16 or 17 following the international break against Valencia who is currently at the top of the league table.
