Xavi to miss Sundays match against Mallorca with tendonitis

The maestro of the Barcelona’s offense Xavi Hernandez has been playing football non-stop for the past year. He has guided Barcelona to the top of La Liga and led his Spanish National squad to become World Cup Champions.

This weekend Xavi will be taking a much needed vacation for the next two weeks from football! Barcelona along with Spanish National coach Vicente del Bosque have announced that they will both be giving Xavi time off so that he can recover from tendonitis in his Achilles that has been bothering him for quite some time now.

Barcelona will be at home on Sunday to take on Mallorca and then break two weeks for national team duty. The Spanish National team will be playing two matches next week at home against Lithuania and on the road at Scotland.

Xavi will be returning for Barcelona’s next La Liga the following weekend against first place Valencia.
