Coming off a 0-2 win against Zaragoza on Saturday Pep Guardiola has decided to give many of his first team players an extended break with Tuesdays midweek tilt in the Copa del Rey followed by Saturdays match against Sevilla.

Valdés, Alves, Piqué, Busquets, Iniesta, Messi and Villa were all giving an extended break and will not make the trip with the club for tomorrows match. The extra days off give the key players time to rest which will not come often this season with such a small squad and the team competing in Champions League play along with La Liga matches.

Replacing the first team players will be six from Barça B, which is the maximum allowable for Copa play.

The squad available at Ceuta will be Pinto, Puyol, Abidal, Maxwell, Adriano, Mascherano, Keita, Bojan, Jeffren, Pedro, Miño, Bartra, Fontàs, Thiago, Dos Santos and Nolito.
