On December 15 PSV and FC Barcelona reached a formal agreement to see the transfer of Ibrahim Afellay to the club.

The 24 year old attacking midfielder will arrive in Barcelona on December 23 and following the completion of medical exams on the 24^th he will officially be presented as the club newest signing.

Financial details of the deal are still in negotiations and will not be made public until the player is “officially” presented.

This weekend PSV have announced that they will be throwing the player a special sendoff party as he will be playing his last match in front of the home crowd against Roda JC.  His last official match with PSV will be on
