Gabi Milito and Martin Montoya out for remained of season with injuries
Saturday tuned out to be a bad night for FC Barcelona as their seven month unbeaten streak in La Liga came to an end at the hands of Real Sociedad.
The 1-2 loss for Barcelona was the least of their problems because during the match they lost two more defenders due to injury.
Youngster Martin Montoya went down in just the 10th minute on Saturday night holding his left shoulder. Dani Alves came in to replace the defender.
Montoya was immediately examined by team doctors and results showed a dislocated left shoulder along with a fractured collarbone. Montoya will be sidelined between four to six weeks.
Late in the match Gabriel Milito suffered an injury when he scored a goal that would have put Barcelona ahead of Real Sociedad but the goal was disallowed. Milito was substituted with Busquets.
Sunday morning tests on Milito revealed that he had suffered a muscle tear in his calf and will be sidelined for six weeks.
The injuries to both defenders creates more headaches for Pep Guardiola as he is already without Maxwell, Abidal and Adriano.
