Alexis Sánchez will be sidelined for up to a week after suffering a thigh injury in warmups during the Super Cup on Wednesday. The injury is minor though he will probably miss the Gamper Cup (if it is played due to strike).

Pep Guardiola had planned to start Alexis on Wednesday after his performance on Sunday against Real Madrid but had to be replaced last minute by Pedro due to injury.

Alexis plans to return in time for FC Barcelona’s UEFA Super Cup match against Porto on Friday, August 26.
