On Tuesday FC Barcelona announced that 23 year old Dmytro Chygrynskiy has been sold back to his former club Shakhtar Donetsk for 15 millions euros.
Chygrynskiy had a turbulent time at Barcelona receiving criticism over his play in the backfield for the blaugrana by fans. He appeared in only 14 matches for the club after being signed back in August for 25 million euros.
One season is too less for a player to adopt to a new system of play. Maybe if Chygrynskiy had stayed on for one more season, he would have proved his worth.
If Chygrynskiy was sold based on his last season's performance, shouldn't Barca think of selling Ibrahimovic too ?
Barcelona has been trying to offload Ibra ever since the season ended. They just haven't found another team with deep pockets who can assume not only his transfer fee, but also his annual salary which is close to 10million euros.
How can we expect a player who did not come through the La Masia system to adapt to Barça's game overnight?? I love the fact that we have so many homegrown players in our roster right now, but I'm starting to see how this can be a two edge sword in the long term.
I wish Chygry all the best and I think we have not seen the last of him.

Just thinking of the fact that we could've got Di Maria for what we paid for Chygry makes me go wtf was Pep thinking???
